Window Live Writer
I know that there are a few really well known desktop blog publishing programs out there and some of them are better than others. The one I use is windows live writer. This program is excellent. I have been using it for several months now and it does everything I want it too. It allows me to update blogs from the desktop, save drafts, spell check, insert content etc. I don’t have anything negative to say about it. I can publish the same blog to different accounts easily and I very happy with the way that it transitions between the different blogs that I work on. I would suggest this program to any blogger that wants to publish to multiple blogs from their desktop.

Gimp
I don’t even know why I feel like I need to put my two cents in on this program. Yeah I do It’s freakin awesome that’s why. It’s a lightweight free graphics manipulation program that is able to do most everything you want a graphics program to do. It is available on both Linux and Windows platforms.It’s easy to transition from a program like photoshop to this or any other similar program. So if you know one you can basically figure out the other. You can use it to create some awesome artwork. It is more robust than just about any other free graphics program out there. For the price tag you just cannot beat it.

Across the tubes
This is my first, “I Did Not Like” on this review blog. It’s a novel idea to show the best from each tube service, but ultimately this is a bust. It still needs a lot of work to make it user friendly. No matter what I tried to look for I received results for news and most of that was political ramblings about right or left wing political views on a situation. I was looking for entertainment and instead I get stuff about the Obama admin. Just my thoughts, but that wasn’t to entertaining. For those that are entertained by the news, especially news on politics, I am so very sorry that you cannot find anything else to enjoy. My point it that I would rather watch a funny video of rednecks flinging squirrels into trees with a shot flinging device than visit this website again. I like squirrels. For those who are interested in going to one website that scans across all video hosting tubes like YouTube this would be a good sight to follow.

So how many of us would love to be online writers? Or Fancy being part of some collaboration. I have been to a lot of community sites that promise something similar, but they fall short on delivering the goods often. This website does much more than that. It delivers the goods without the promises. It is a simple sight that lets you add a bit of text to an ongoing story. Then the next guy can add some and so on and so forth. The beauty of this service is that there is no sign up and no registration. It’s free and it’s fun. You don’t have to adhere to any kind of content etc. The possibilities for good and for bad are there. This is definitely a sight for anyone who is stuck and just needs to jot down a few lines of nonsense. The sigh name Write Something.

Contails
This is one awesome and free web service. It allows a person to sync their address books across platforms fairly effortlessly. I was able to transfer, condense and then add all of my contacts to this service then put them back on a newly created email account. The service downloads your contact lists from desktop email programs also. I suggest this for someone who has contacts across multiple email accounts that wants them to be condensed. One of the best features is that it will sync with your cell phone, unfortunately that feature doesn’t work with all cell phones yet, but for blackberry and iPhone users this feature is exceptionally helpful.
